And so Chadwick Town Planning was born…

It was a shock to many but the birth of Chadwick Town Planning in March 2021 had its conception and a short gestation late in 2020 - that bizarre year dominated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Time to think, time to plan and then a collection of converging circumstances led to the decision to set up my own business and become my own boss.

Why? Well, after going as far as I wanted to go in local government I then had 13 great years in consultancy at David Lock Associates (DLA) proving that I could make the leap into the private sector. I went on to surpass my personal and professional expectations at DLA but decided it was time for a new challenge. That is to complete the planning “holy trinity” and set up my own consultancy. Not one for complacency or taking the easy option, the time was right, the stars were aligned and here I am, the Managing Director of my own company supported as ever by my wife, Judy who will help run the business.

It has been an exhausting but exciting time, setting everything up for the new venture whilst working long hours for clients on a variety of projects trying to deliver results.
