Rural diversification - appeal success
On 6th September 2024, CTPL were very pleased to receive the Inspector’s decision on an appeal for the change of use of an agricultural building at Godington - close to the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire border - to car storage. The Inspector agreed that the proposal would support rural diversification and in doing so would align with Paragraph 88 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The Inspector concluded that sufficient justification had been provided by CTPL to demonstrate why the development should be located at the appeal site - which would satisfy national and local policy - and that in being sensitive to its surroundings and not having an unacceptable impact on local roads, the proposal was also consistent with Paragraph 89 of the NPPF. The appeal was therefore allowed and planning permission was granted subject to conditions.
