Planning Appeal - Marina at Claydon, North Oxfordshire

Instructed by Cherwell District Council on this s78 appeal, CTPL defended the Planning Committee’s decision to refuse permission for a 192-berth marina on the Oxford Canal at Claydon. In June 2022, the Inspector dismissed the appeal and agreed with CTPL’s evidence that the marina was in an unsuitable location - too far from any settlement and amenities - have an adverse impact upon the “tranquil” surrounding countryside and harm the Canal’s Conservation Area.
