Radon Mitigation in Bloxham, North Oxfordshire

Listed Building Consent obtained in August 2022 for radon mitigation works to a mid-15th century Grade II* listed farmhouse and a 17th century Grade II listed barn in Bloxham, North Oxfordshire. Working with radon specialists, a heritage consultant and an architect, a sensitive scheme was devised which involved minimal change to the historic fabric of these important listed buildings. The CTPL Planning, Design & Access Statement stressed the importance of the radon gas threat to the health of the custodians of the buildings, who are responsible for the long term but safe use and conservation of these important heritage assets. Works were completed in November 2022.
